Meadow Club Tree Removal Permit (P5320)

The applicant requests Tree Removal approval for the removal of a total of 30 trees (15 heritage trees and 15 protected trees) on a lot developed with a commercial golf course in the Unincorporated area of Fairfax. Four 24-inch protected Alder trees, eleven protected Coast Redwood trees with a diameter of less than 30 inches, one 33.5-inch heritage Coast Redwood tree, one 36-inch heritage Coast Redwood tree, two 36.5-inch heritage Coast Redwood trees, two 37.5-inch heritage Coast Redwood trees, two 38-inch heritage Coast Redwood trees, two 40-inch heritage Coast Redwood trees, one 41.5-inch heritage Coast Redwood tree, one 42-inch heritage Coast Redwood tree, one 43-inch heritage Coast Redwood tree, one 43.5-inch heritage Coast Redwood tree, and one 52.5-inch heritage Coast Redwood tree are proposed for removal. Twelve additional trees that do not meet the definition of a protected or heritage tree are also proposed to be removed as part of this project.

Tree Removal Permit approval is required pursuant to Marin County Code Section 22.62.020 because the project entails removing 21 heritage trees and two protected trees as defined in Marin County Code Section 22.130.030.P (Protected Tree and Heritage Tree).
