The purpose of this project is to replace the existing HVAC systems at Marin County's Juvenile Hall facility. The project will include disengaging, removal, and disposal of the existing units (crane required), any structural modifications required to support the placement of the new units, adapting to the existing duct systems, balancing, and testing of each system per plans and specifications. This will also include removal and replacement of the roof structures on the East and West wings to allow a crane to remove the existing units and place the new units. Removal and replacement of additional items as noted in the plans and specifications, including, but not limited to electrical, plumbing, and control system elements, and asbestos abatement in identified areas. The affected areas include the Kitchen, Admin Offices, Classroom, Common area, North, East, South and West Wings.

The Project will generally include installation of a Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon or High-Intensity Activated Crosswalk (HAWK) signal system that includes poles, mast arms, signal buttons, electrical systems, and replacement of traffic signs and restriping at the intersection of Point San Pedro Road & Summit Ave in San Rafael. This work is partially funded by the State of California Cycle 10 Highway Safety Improvement Program

Improvements for this project will generally consist of minor drainage improvements, minor concrete curb, gutter, sidewalk, and accessible curb ramps, asphalt dike, bioretention facilities, asphalt grinding/milling, asphalt digouts, repaving, traffic striping and pavement markings, and other related incidental work. The work will take place in the following neighborhoods: California Park, Greenbrae, Kentfield, West Novato, and Homestead Valley.

The bidder must visit the work site(s) before submitting a bid. Bidder shall thoroughly investigate the conditions that will be encountered in the project, including, but not limited to, existing underground and overhead utilities, road width, road grades, cross slopes, space needed to flag traffic, staging, and site access challenges.

The Marin County Office of Equity, a division of the Office of the County Executive (OCE), is requesting proposals for support services for immigrant communities, including the following categories:

Category #1: Immigration legal services (free or low-cost, high quality immigration legal representation and support including screening, affirmative representation, and removal defense);

• Budget: $240,000

Category #2: Direct support services (immediate, flexible, and culturally responsive support to prevent housing instability, hunger, and related challenges) for individuals or families who have been impacted by detention or deportation.

The County of Marin is seeking proposals from qualified organizations with in-depth knowledge and expertise in providing fully insured dental benefits for County of Marin benefits eligible employees and dependents.

Improvements for this project will generally include installing a new soldier pile wall to restore support to the roadway. Work will also include grading of the Nicasio Creek bank below, a new guardrail and rehabilitation of the adjacent underground culvert that crosses below Lucas Valley Road.

The County of Marin is seeking to enter into a professional services contract with a qualified firm to provide a comprehensive evaluation of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility compliance in three areas: County of Marin policies and practices, County of Marin buildings, facilities and sites, and County of Marin public right-of-way facilities. This project will consist of conducting a Self-Evaluation and preparing an ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan, that identifies barriers to accessibility, methods to comply and maximize accessibility, estimated costs to remediating the identified barriers, and a schedule to achieve ADA compliance.

The County of Marin is seeking submittals for professional Owner’s Representative (OR) services. These services include consulting tasks as necessary for building new Marin County Fire Headquarters and passive recreation areas for the Marin County Parks Department utilizing the Progressive Design-Build delivery method.

This RFP seeks submissions from interested and qualified firms to provide the listed services to maximize the quality of services and value for the County and, by extension, its residents. Proposals must document the resources and capability for performing the services requested.
