What we do
Our registered specialists review well drilling applications and issues permits for soil borings, test and instrumentation borings, and monitoring wells to ensure all drilling follows state and local regulations.
Drilling permits issued by our office
Borings are used to gather information on the soil conditions, groundwater level, location of bedrock, check for soil contamination, and slope instability. Soil borings are drilled and filled on the same day.
Monitoring wells are used to measure or monitor the level, quality, quantity, or movement of subsurface water.
Piezometers are a type of monitoring well that are used to estimate water levels and hydraulic pressure at a specific depth.
Inclinometers are used to monitor the lateral movements of natural slopes or embankments.
Cathodic protection wells house devices to minimize electrolytic corrosion of metallic pipelines, tanks, and other facilities in contact with the ground.
Heat exchange wells are used to transfer heat from the earth's ground temperature to a heat pump system to provide energy efficient heating or air conditioning for homes and businesses.
