Low carbon concrete requirements

Comply with Marin County's low carbon concrete code

All building project applicants, contractors, and concrete suppliers are required to comply with Marin County's low carbon concrete code (Title 19 Marin County Building Code, Chapter 19.07 - Carbon Concrete Requirements).

If you're applying for a building permit, your plans must show that you will use low carbon concrete in your project. To finish your project and close the permit, you'll need to provide receipts showing that compliant concrete was used.

The easiest way to comply is to use products from our list of pre-qualified mixes, available from local ready-mix suppliers.
